Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 200g smoked salmon
  • 1 small tub cream cheese
  • ½ red onion, finely sliced
  • Rocket
  • Fresh dill to garnish

Method

  1. Follow the DIY crostini recipe below
  2. In the meantime, cut salmon into strips.
  3. Smear each crostini with cream cheese
  4. Garnish with rocket, red onion and dill to serve

Italian for little toasts, bake your own at home.
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Cut a baguette into slices, brushing both sides with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Arrange on two large rimmed baking sheets.
  3. Bake until golden, 15 to 20 minutes, rotating sheets halfway through (if undersides are not browning, turn crostini over once during baking).
  4. Set aside to cool and store in an airtight container.
